Mare and Foal
This was a special baby gift from one equestrian family to another. The request was for horses. Only basic parameters were set -- no cowboys, no Indians and no hunting. The rest was left to the designer.
Description: A free running mother and foal appliquéd on a meadow form the center medallion. The surrounding patchwork is a traditional log cabin pattern assembled in the barn raising form. Horse motif fabrics are used throughout the borders. Fittingly, the back fabric is of elegant carousel horses
