Garden Scarecrow
This large quilt in autumn colors features a cheerful scarecrow guarding a vegetable garden.
The scarecrow has some three dimensional features such as straps that snap and a pocket handkerchief.
The furrowed patchwork rows are in a zigzag pattern and run diagonally across the quilt. Rows feature different vegetables and fruits. Butterflies and ladybugs can be found in the garden and chickens happily peck in each corner.
The hand quilting is extensive and expertly done. Each vegetable is contour (echo) quilted in ¼ inch increments to make it stand out.
