Clay's Twisted Choice
What happens when traditional patterns such as Clay’s Choice and Bow Tie have the background fabrics trading places? There is a whole new quilt with lots of movement.
These blocks are arranged in diagonal stripes with subdued colors of blue, red, green and brown. The background fabrics are beige and dark chocolate brown.
Design patches are cut from 8” sample squares from a mill in Southwest Iowa. There are over a hundred different stripes and plaids.
The piece is totally hand quilted and includes quail, pine trees and pine cones in the outer borders.
The cotton batting makes this an especially warm, cozy quilt.
